Interesting trivia ... the Coronado Bridge is curved just so that they could increase the length of the bridge and meet the minimum length requirement to receive federal funding!! Talk about bending the rules :)
Thank you,Ramya...I did wonder about that extra curvature, but decided that it was one of those architect-designed flourishes...and yes, it did occur to me that it would push up the cost considerably...now it makes sense!
But given that it is on the open water...would that extra curve somehow also give more stability? Must google this...

Wow, talk about wasting money! But what's impressive to me is that "when the loans were paid off, the tolls were stopped"! Ha, I can JUST imagine this happening in India...

Thank you Ram! For me, photography is not so much about the results (though of course I want good photos!) as the enjoyment I get in the process, and the feeling that I can share my experiences, and what I see, with others.
