Very Funny! While in Mysore, I remember keeping cotton near the nest thinking the bird can use it for building it's nest. She used to throw them out. Now it seems bird's are getting revolutionized.

I used to have budgerigars at home, and it was great fun,sometimes, to put small petals in the nest...the female would make irritated noises and throw it out! (budgies don't line their nests with anything.)

the first thought that came to my mind after coming here from the JLRNTP mail is that plastic as nesting material is far better than plastic as food that chokes up an animal's gut.

Mr. Bird is smart to be trying out new nesting material. and your post is super funny as always :D
