I have always felt that with the Himalaya, too. No two-dimensional image can ever come close to actually being there. I hope, one day, to see an Imax presentation on the Himalaya and see if THAT comes close.

We just watched an IMax show about Grand Canyon and the Colorado River last week. (The Science Center at St Louis is about an hour's lovely walk through Forest Park.)

Loved the picture where it shows the storms far behind, but clear sky closer..on the Mono Lake. Lovely!

Inspiring me to make a trip out there for this summer...have to see if I can get it planned with my friends. :)

One of the few major national parks in the U.S. I have never been to, so I'm glad I at least have the photos.
