The S3IS does NOT take good photographs in low-light situations. Graininess prevails...

Settings make a big difference. The higher the ISO, I find, the grainer the pic.

The ISO was 100! You can't go lower than that...but really, in these same conditions, the 20D would have done a much better job;but since I want the S3IS for various other reasons, that's OK. I only needed "documentation" shots as they say in wildlife photography, not superb images!

The place where that meeting was held is so gorgeous, with all the hanging cloths! I know that's completely irrelevant to their mission, but it struck me as so beautiful...
