I haven't sewn much of anything in quite some time. I don't even have the money, for the most part. So why am I being tempted by the thought of a cosplay group for DragonCon? I don't even know if I'm going to DragonCon anymore! We're taking our vacation the week right before that. We literally won't be in town for Friday. Joel's all but ( Read more... )

;op I don't want this turning into last year, though. I could hardly make it last year, and friends fronted the bill so I could because they wanted me there. I don't want that to happen again. It isn't fair to my friends. And I honestly don't know if I can afford DragonCon. I shouldn't consider costumes if I don't even know if I can afford to GO. Granted, I could just go, and never get a badge. Stick to the areas that don't require badge access, hang out with friends who are at the convention. That's mostly all I go for ANYWAY. But... still...

::clingloves:: I'd say even out of costume, I'll still do at least that for one day. I've got friends going that I'll only get to see during DragonCon... so you won't miss me if you go. I just... don't think I should pay for a badge, and wear a costume, and... yea.

One of these days we really need to invest in eternal. Joel passed it up years ago, and is really kicking himself for it now.

Looks like if I DO go I'm going to try for a costume... which is going to be a PAIN and I have NO CLUE if I can pull it off... ::flails::

::grins:: Someone who recognizes the comic. XD People are tempting me to do Mamma Gkika... but I'm not sure I can pull off the corset.
