Movie Madness!

Okay so sometimes I get free movie passes at work. After saving one and finally getting a second, I surprised Joel when I picked him up from work yesterday and said "Hey do you want to go to this movie that starts five minutes after your shift ends?" Totally spontaneous and awesome, I know. So, we went to see Forbidden Kingdom. I meant to spaz ( Read more... )

I'm really not sure how much longer it's going to be out. The guy at the ticket box, when I asked him how long it had been out, basically made me believe it had been out for quite some time now. I'd say you'd better hurry.

Saw this a while back. It was pretty good. There are a few things I would have not wanted in the movie, but over all good. I like the hair chick best in the movie. It was funny seeing Jet Li do some comedy type parts.

I'm curious to know what you'd have preferred not to have in there now. And the hair chick was awesome. I wish I knew her name. I only know her as the witch that was raised by wolves, or the hair chick, like you do. I would hope she's named after some sort of predatory bird though. I also like Sparrow. But I think I like Jackie Chan's character most. Joel wants the Jade Warlord's costume. ;op

I saw it a while back, too. Very good...and if there's a book it's based on, DUDE! WANT!

I actually only went to see it for the Chinese Mythology, and was not disappointed. The parallels to the Sanzo Party are there just enough to be neat, even if the traits are all hodgepodged.

If there's a book that it's based on, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Oh really? Hmmmmm... Awesome.

I saw it a month or so ago, and agree with your assessment of it's awesomeness. It was hilarious and dramatic and I loved the interaction between Jackie Chan and Jet Li's characters. It was GREAT!
And yay for a happy ending! <3
