Trick Or Treat? Halloween Costuming!

So DragonCon is over, and I sold my catgirl costume. That one sale and convention has me totally hyped to do more. I'm trying to convince Joel to let me have a small Halloween party at our house, and goodness only knows what I'd wear to it if we did. Still, it would be a blast. I've always loved Halloween

Honestly? I don't care which costume you're entering. You are not why I am considering not entering. I'm considering not entering because I cannot draw and have not had the funds/time to create a truly elaborate costume. As I am uncertain if it would be possible to enter the idea of Jem (as I doubt I would be able to finish it in time and I do not believe a costume based off of a cartoon, anime, manga, etc. would qualify as 'design your own') I do not believe I would stand a chance against, well, any competition.

What offended me, though, was that you thanked me for the link to the contest, yet you showed no real care as to what I did or response to my requests/questions. It felt like you were responding with "Yay me, free money, I'll blow everyone out of the water!" without a care as to the fact that a friend was the one considering entering before you even knew the contest existed.

I like the EGL, but not enough to think it would win anything. It's user voting, and I don't have any false hopes that people will actually think I look good. It's going to be just as much a popularity contest as it's going to be a beauty contest. No one gives a ding dong dang about the costume design itself, if it's on a fat girl, and even if I'm not fat, the costume makes me look that way.
