I'm considering selling some costumes. I'm not really sure if I want to or not, but I don't wear them anymore. Some are just worn and I'm tired of them, or I don't like how I look in them, or I want to remake them, or any number of things. So, I want to know your opinions. What do you think of me in the costume? Do you think I can do better? ( Read more... )

I'll have to measure it to be certain. I can take more pictures for you, too, if you'd like. The tail scales are absolutely stunning, promise. <3 I'm pretty sure the size is somewhere around an adult large, but it may be flexible, since it's mostly just a skirt. The length is variable, as it is partially based on how you hold your arm (the tail has a wrist cuff to keep it off the ground).

That's why some, like the mermaid tail, and the catgirl, are going to be sold, period. I just don't know if they're worth it, and if they are, how much they would be worth. I figured someone here might be able to tell me something that could help me price those. As far as the others are concerned, I'm really not sure if I will wear them or not. Like I said with the ChibiUsa, I love the costume. The Black Lady got a lot of compliments, but I'm not sure if I want to deal with it as is, or make a new and better one. The EGL isn't officially "EGL", but it's pretty. I don't know if I'd have occassion to wear it or not, honestly. I like it, but I just don't know.

I think you look good in the "Gold and Black EGL" and "Black Lady" costumes. The others, not so much. And I'm not sure they're totally worth selling, either, but you can always try o.o

In any case, if you don't think you're ever going to wear pieces again, I'd say definitely get rid of them ;P

Why wouldn't they be worth selling? O.O And I never said I looked good in any of those pictures. ;op You and your bluntness.

Like I said above, there are some I'm just not sure on. Others, like the mermaid and the catgirl, I know I won't wear again. But the others? No clue... but getting people's opinions on what I look good in or not definitely helps me decide...

I doubt we're honestly that far off in size. What size are you, hun?

I honestly don't know what size the Black Lady costume is, come to think of it. I don't remember which pattern I used... >.> I'd have to measure it to see what size it is.

I'm always of the adage "If you don't wear it, sell it". Put the money to good use. Though I will say that the EGL is very pretty. If I had a use for it, I'd buy it. :D But it's probably too small. I'm larger than you.

BTW, if you don't want your Myu Taiki, let me know. I may buy it off you. Or if I don't, I know someone who will. :)

True, but I'm trying to figure out if I should/would wear them or not. That's part of why I made this. I thought some friends wanting to see me in them, or liking me in them, or whatever, might make me more eager to wear them again, you know? ^_^ But I'll probably sell at least some of them.

As for the EGL, I don't know. I'd have to know your measurements. It's actually big on me, because I followed the pattern exactly, especially on the top, and thus it isn't tailored to me terribly well at all. (Sometimes it's hard to keep the top fastened because it's so loose.)

... I want to keep my Taiki costumes. S'why I didn't even consider listing them here. ^^; Sorry, hun.

Well, if that's what you wanted to know, then I'll be candid:

The kitty girl and mermaid, no. Sorry. I don't care for them on you.

The EGL and Black Lady, yes. I think they are both very nice on you.

The ChibiUsa seifuku, while really cute, -is- too short for you. Maybe keep the shirt and make a new skirt? Or just sell the whole thing and maybe make another Chibi Usa outfit. *nods* Trade up. Variety is the spice of life.

I wasn't sure. I'd prefer you keep them for *cough* purely selfish reasons, but if you were of the mind to get rid of them, I was going to get them to a good home. :D

Not a problem. I don't, either, which is why I know I'm getting rid of those one way or another. Well, I'm torn on the catgirl, but more for sentimental reasons of keeping than actually "I'll ever realistically wear this" reasons. XD ( ... )
