Blast. BLAST. BLAST!

Friend put a "slightly spoilery" post not beneath a cut for the last Harry Potter book. I read three words, not even in the same sentence. THREE WORDS. And I know that, well, yea. If I could have read any other words, I probably would have been fine... but that combination of three words? Yea. I am not happy. ;-; LJ? I am not reading you ( Read more... )

Vader is Harry's Father. Ron is really Harry's sister.

Damnit, David! ::throws book 5 at a wall:: There's no point in me reading anymore. You've ruined everything for me! How dare you! ::laughs::

Thanks. I needed a bit of perspective. I know this really isn't nearly as much of an offense as I made it out to be. It's just, well, frustrating. So many people find it to be so important, and I really hate spoilers with regards to any kind of media. Every single person on my friends list has been so careful and polite about the whole thing, putting spoilers behind cuts and all...

I just wanted to get a laugh! No perspective lesson was implied!

But yeah, I share the frustration. I haven't read any of the books, and I still hate hearing how they go because I will read them at some point.

Down with spoilers! Rar!

Oh, I hate that. I got spoiled myself because of wikipedia putting spoilers before their spoiler warning >_<;;
I'm only at chapter 22, I think. This sort of thing sucks.

Better than me. At least you're reading book 7 already. ::laughs and hugs:: I'm sorry you got spoiled, too! I'm hoping I can forget mine, since I didn't read all that much...

*L* Yeah, I know a couple of people that have it and aren't reading it yet, and several people who have already finished. I finished in one day last time but I didn't have the munchkin yet, so I can only read snatches here and there unless he's in bed, and well I spent his nap time doing some design work and reviewing for monies, so not so much with the reading. D finished, because he is stubborn and man...I came back from the other place at 10 having left at 8 with him going, "Oh, I'm going to bed right as you leave," given he'd been reading since he got home at 6 a.m. I think, and I come back and he stumbles out to help me with the car, "I finished it!!!" Yeesh. He'll be complaining about being tired later on I would imagine.

Of course I really shouldn't complain too much 'cause I read books 1-5 just before 6 came out, and I knew half of what was going to happen already because of other people talking while I was still in my, "I am never going to read this POTTER TRIPE!" phase, but murgh.

And this is why I didn't even turn my computer on until I finished the book. :-D

I highly doubt I could live quite that long without turning on the computer. I work on a computer, after all, and I'm rereading 5 and 6 first. Goodness knows it could be a month or more before I finish 7!!! ::flails and hugs::

Me too. That's why I also took the day off and spent it reading on the couch. Boss was a bit baffled, even though he's a fan. *cackles*

and *HUGS!*

Mine should be Potter free, but boringh. :-P

My favorite was "Harry is really Kaiser Soze...", which I later revised to "No, I was wrong, Snape is Kaiser Soze".

And, while at it..had you seen this shirt? Warning, Spoilers apply..

Hmmm...and, I'll ask if you've seen the "spoilt" shirt, before I post it. It has a bunch of movie/book spoilers on it.

One day, I shall buy it and wear it at a convention (and hopefully not develop an allergy to brick, or large mallets)
