Her fingers are like spider’s legs as they ran over my shoulders. The long nails sharpened until they left furrows of stolen blood on my pale skin. I shivered as she stroked them up my arms, and felt my stomach quake as she wrapped those hands around my throat and then tilted my face back towards the flat of her stomach. Lady Zi is dressed in one of those tight Chinese girl dresses that she’s so lucky she doesn’t have to breathe in. The blood red silk is so tight that I can see the hint of her ribs through the fabric with the golden leung dragons embossed on it. It looks like her body has been painted with blood and gilded.

I was naked on my knees at her feet. As if the bitch needed me naked to make me more afraid of her. I can feel her blood tangled through my veins burning like cold fire from my lips to my heart. The taste of her blood on my tongue making me want to retch or turn my face towards hers to kiss her deeply. She’d once again forced me to drink from her wrist as I did every month to cement my blood bond to her. I hate this woman, this creature, more than anyone on the planet earth, and I love her more too. I don’t have any choice. Haven’t had any in over a hundred years, not since she’d taken my blood as the first payment for the debt I owed her.

“What’s the matter my pet,” she asked in her sing song voice still holding on to her Chinese accent after all her years in America. “Don’t you want to make me happy?”

“Course I do,” I said as I lied through the fangs she’d given me. I would have loved nothing better than to rip her to shreds like a rabid dog, but she was too old and powerful. She could force her will on me, and I’d happily let her rip my heart out of my chest with her spider fingers. I’d be smiling while she licked it clean, and I crumbled to so much dust on her oriental rug. “I would do anything for you.”

“Now that’s a good boy,” Lady Zi laughed as she stepped away from me her dress slit so far up her thigh that her entire leg was exposed as she draped herself across her divan. “Come here and so me how much you adore me.”
