Ladies, I don't mean to brag, but I think I just wrote the best episode review post that I have ever written at katsuratama. 50 screencaps, about 2500 words, and it only took me a week XDD

My room often smells like cigarettes, I think it's because my window is terrible (it.. er.. lets wind through - I don't really know how it's said in English tbh) and there's a bar and some balconies almost directly below my window.. not cool.. But at least it doesn't ALWAYS smell like that.. that really sucks T__T

I know what you mean, back home smokers used to live in a flat under us, and in summer whenever we opened the window, the smoke was just coming into our flat D: But that must suck for you even more if the smell gets into your home through closed window, poor you :(

Really? I had no idea, I thought they just share some voice actors with Gintama XDD Well, that's good to know, I hope that means the series will stay funny for all of 12 episodes :D

I'm sorry I can't help for the cigarette smell... I also don't like it, and ugh... It gives me headache whenever my neighbors from above smokes and turns on the air con (I guess the air pipe might be connected cause the smells always comes to my apartment as if I was smoking too -_-)

I know, I just couldn't find the subs for episode 3, so I had to watch it in Japanese :( Maybe the subs were not out yet, I'll look for them again. Well, not all jokes are equally funny there, I agree - but I will continue watching it for now :)

Cigarette smell... cigarette smell... I can't remember how to get rid of it. I used to live in a smoking building and... uuuggggggghhhh it was nasty. Do you have Febreze over there? It does actually work pretty good.

If all else fails, you WILL get used to it. :/

I have read all sorts of advice on the internet, but nothing really helped so far :( I think we do, but that won't really help - it will just cover the smell, not get rid of it...

That's not how I want things to happen XDD I want to get rid of the smoke XDD

Would it be possible to paint your flat's walls and ceiling? That might help.

Or call the owners and say that since the flat isn't in any condition to live in (if you had asthma or something like that, it might even be 100% true), they have to call professional cleaners to scrub it from floor to ceiling? That's what happened when my grandfather bought a flat. The previous tenants left it in bad condition, Mom called the previous owner and then cleaners, and then sent the bill to the previous owner. >:D

Tricks like leaving the windows open or letting vinegar evaporate aren't good or efficient solution. There's an excellent reason most flats have a "no smoking in here" clause in the contract.

I called the owners, and at first they said that it's impossible because they had cleaned and redecorated everything :/ And then they told me to do the vinegar thing.

Unfortunately this flat does not have this clause :( But the smell seems to get gradually less now... Which might be not a good thing - there will be not enough smell to get any compensation from the owners, but still enough for the flat to be disgusting and stinky :(

The smell of cigarette smoke gives me a headache, so I can understand your dislike of the cigarette odor in your new home. After reading all these steps for how to get rid of the smell of cigarettes in an apartment, I realize that it takes a lot of work to get rid of that smell.

"Helele" is a nice dance song. The next time I make fried rice in the kitchen, I'm going to play this song "Helele" on the stereo while I chop up the ham meat and stir the rice. Yep, this is perfect music to have in the background while making fried rice.

I like Danshi Kokousei no Nichijou because everything is so random and pointless in the series. Kind of reminds me of another show I started watching a long time ago, but I didn't finish yet: Tentai Senshi Sunred. I don't know if you've seen this good vs. evil superhero show, but you may like it if you enjoy shows that are pointless and random. Tentai Senshi Sunred is probably the only show where the evil villain is much nicer than the hero.

It really is a lot of work :( And the worst thing is, I can't really wash the walls, they are wallpapered, so I'm afraid I'll damage them if I wash them, and I can totally smell the cigarettes on the walls D:
