I believe I mentioned that I went to Lübeck recently, so of course a photo post is necessary! Well, it was not quite that recently, so I forgot some names of churches, but it’s not like there are architects or historians here, who will be offended at that XDDD

Holstentor looks amazing! I wouldn't have imagined it was a gate, to be honest...it looks like a bona fide tower XD
Awww, these medieval warehouses are amazing! I'm happy to hear they're still in use, and that they're a shopping centre :D It gives you a feeling that it's retained its use as a "commercial" building :D
The streets are so picturesque and beautiful indeed! I love the dragon hung at the corner of the puppet theater! So cute!
Whoa, the cross is 17 m long? Or high?
I adore the inner yards you posted!! Man, I'd like to live there too!
You know, seeing Nansen's ship...makes me think that people back then were really brave. Going to the Arctic in a wooden boat...I think people today wouldn't even dare think about something like that.
Gyaaa, cute cats! And that balcony (?) is super cute too!
The town's architecture is lovely indeed!! I'm sure you must have had a nice trip :D

Oh, okay okay! Now that you said that, you have a point...I guess the horizontal part is the "width". Maybe.
Hmmm, I kinda understand that, it mustn't feel too comfortable being looked at in your own house like an animal in a zoo ^^; I guess there's a price to pay for living in such a nice house.
I think it must have a been a combination of both, as well as because of curiousity?

I have no idea, really XDDD But it's a really big cross.
Exactly! The curtains on all those houses were really thick, I guess the people living there have had experience with tourists trying to look inside their homes...
I suppose that's how it is, people are curious and back in the days there were more unexplored corners of the world than there are now.
