A fantastic learning experience in both vehicle mechanics and opportunity costs!

Nitrile gloves.
Get good ones, the cheap ones at Harbor Freight rip too easily.

and wanna make some dinero,. I got a diesel engine I need to take out of a bus and put into a rangermobile...

I've been looking for a mechanic to pay to do this, but though HEY why not buy some air tools and pay some friends?

I figure in a weeks worth of evenings, we could get it done, and then my money goes to somebody I know...

know anybody that can help take and engine in and out?

bus is a small mini van... 1 ton chevrolet automatic.

bus runs GREAT but has a lot of rust and issue...

Truck is a 1983 K5 Blazer, but has a melted engine from overheating.

6.2 diesel engine.

basically deconstruct one and put the good engine in the other.

I can do all the twiddly ass detail wiring and stuff, but to umbolt, lift, moce, place and blot up an engine, is a two man job...

maybe 3 man job...

I have the dinero set aside to make the transitions.

plan on stripping the bus of good stuff, and carting to junkyard...

Have you already done the research on engine mounts, belts, etc?

There is an orangeol cleaner at whole foods that degreases hands (or anything really) Barring that dish soap is the next best degreaser in the home.

I took the engine out of my MR2 turbo several times and it was never any fun. Good cursing practice, though.
