I blame slavelabour. Well, I blame her for a lot of things (*shakes tiny impotent fist*) but now I have a head full of X-Men/Magnificent Seven crossover thoughts ( Read more... )

Chris can definitely set things afire with his glare.

Siluria and Kayim wrote a Mag7/Xmen fusion (although, tbh, I'm not sure if was ever finished? I've only read one chapter and it was something Siluria sent) and Chris had the power of fire. He was an angsty mess because, hello, FIRE. His family are still dead in that AU by fire so he kinda hates his ability, poor woobie. Although he's still an angsty mess in canon so... not too far off the mark there. :)

You know I'm going to be thinking about the Seven as mutants all day, right? ♥

YES PLEASE! Maybe Vin has enhanced senses? At least sight, which is what makes him such an awesome sharpshooter. Oh! Or he's a shapeshifter and the senses kind of linger in his human form, they're just not quite as sharp as in his animal form (cougar? Wolf? Coyote?).

Josiah. Hmmm. Enhanced strength?

JD's a tough one. My first thought was shapeshifter, but I like that better for Vin. Hmmmmmmm. Can see/talk to ghosts? IDK. He's got me stumped.

I don't know though, if Vin was a shapeshifter the price on his head wouldn't be too much of an issue, would it? I can't decide with Vin - sometimes I think telepathy would be more suited to him than Ezra, 'cause then it would explain his spooky vibes with Chris and how he's so good as a tracker...

I remember reading a fic a while back (the title or author of which cannot be recalled), where Vin was such a good tracker because people trailed colors behind them, or something like that, and he could see the colors and follow them. I believe that the colors did fade over time, or else Vin would have been overwhelmed with seeing bold colors all of the time.
