Can anyone explain to me why your average person can be arrested and convicted for spewing hate and inciting violence, but someone how politicians are immune?

And yes, Sarah Palin and the Tea Party, I'm looking at you. Not to mention the bloody BNP.

Totally agree

Bin Laden exhorts muslims to kill the infidel. Where lies the difference between this and Palin literally targeting Gabby Gifford with a gun sight?

And others exhorting right wing Americans to use a "second amendment solution" to "liberalism"

Does my head in.....

Well... the difference is that Palin used a metaphor, which NO ONE would think twice about if not for some crazy ass nutjob. Anyone who thinks Palin was encouraging such a heinous act needs to take their blinders off. It does my head in to see how anyone could blame Palin for someone else's act. Ridiculous. And I'm not even a member of any fucking party, I can't stand politicians! Thieving, lying pricks with very few gems among them, but comparing Palin to Bin Laden? Good fucking Christ...

Jesus, there's a reason I don't discuss politics on the internet.

She didn't target Congresswoman Gifford, she targeted her district for defeat in the last election, which didn't happen. And, Sharon Angle was defeated. The difference is that Sarah Palin has never financed or encouraged anyone to physically harm another human being. The difference is Sarah Palin doesn't want infidels dead. The difference is the left can't stand her and blames her for everything anyone, even a mentally disturbed person does.

In America, no one is arrested for spewing hate. The only thing you can't say is "go kill someone" to someone who is likely to kill someone. The Tea Party is NOT a hate mongering organization. Primarily, the Tea Party is in favor of fiscal responsibility. Every act by someone with lunatic beliefs is connected by some in the media to the Tea Party, even though they may have no association with the Tea Party. The man in Arizona is mentally disturbed with beliefs that are contradictory to himself. For example, one of his complaints is that people don't speak English. But, another is that the government controls people through grammar ( ... )
