I just did that LJ Voter meme, and it said that one person on my flist had voted BNP! Whaaaaat? I like to think I know you all pretty well, and I hate to think there's someone out there who would vote BNP ( Read more... )

I had the same happen when I looked at my flist. Had a giant WTF moment and then felt vaguely unclean.

I am all for having differing opinions and that being grand and all, but... It's the fucking BNP! Who, what, why...?

There's political differences and then there's sheer hatefulness, and that I just do not get, do not support and will not tolerate.

I draw my line for tolerance at blatant intolerance, quite frankly. The BNP is a bunch of hateful, history-denying shits and I'm sorry - or actually not sorry at all - but voting for them is a friendship-breaker.

I have similar Norwegian parties that carry the same deal. Because voting in that direction isn't just a difference of opinion, it's a difference in values and not values I will compromise on.
