Though it does answer the question I've been asking for like, ten years. I never knew who the hell Fran Rubel Kazui and Kaz Kazui were. NOW I KNOW AND WISH I DIDN'T.

And Flight of the Navigator was a film I loved as a kid (though I could never remember the tite) so that sucks too. Also, I have no memory of the dog-based opening. :P

I seem to recall it involved dog frisbee, or something like that? I haven't seen the movie in years, but it was only of my favourites as a kid.

But yeah, Buffy without Joss? And without any of the actual cast? ARE THEY CRAZY?!

YES APPARENTLY. I would be 100% in favour of a Buffy movie with Joss backing (or, you know, writing and directing) and most/all of the original cast. But a reboot?

Just say no, film studios.

No, I have no memory of the dog. I only remember the kick-ass interior of the ship and the little eyeball on legs. And the kid arriving back and everyone going "... whut?" and arresting him or something. It was a long time ago.

I adored Flight of the Navigator. I keep talking myself out of buying it on DVD. There's something about a space ship that looks like a liquid metal NERF ball.
