I miss learning...

That sounds weird, I guess. I miss being a student, not because of the life, but because of the learning. I know you never stop learning, but I'm really hankering to go back to university and do another degree. Yeah, I know. Another. I've already got two and I don't need another degree, but I want to, just for myself ( Read more... )

Geeks rock.

As someone who is currently studying with the OU, I recommend them. Plus I totally get the need to keep studying - by the time I finish this course, I'll be nebula99, BA (Hons), MPhil, Dip HE, Dip Psych and if I do the Clinical course, I get to add a PhD as well.

Have you looked at Distance Learning with other Universities if the OU doesn't have what you want?

Yeah, I checked out the OU first, but their history courses don't really fit in with what I want to do, and sadly there only seems to be about 10 or 15 uni's that offer medieval history degrees (at least that's what UCAS tells me) and none of them offer it as a distance learning course or are near enough for me to study at part-time either. :( I guess I'd have struggled to afford it at the moment anyway, but it would have been nice...

I've often talked about this with friends and I know what you mean about missing learning. I don't miss exams/revision/stressing over essays etc, but I do miss giving my brain more of a challenge.
