I'm still waiting to get my hands on this week's ep, but I *knew* there was something going on with Flint/Thomas/Whatsherlyingcheatingnose. And I was hoping for more than just 'morning afters' with Anne/Jack/Max.

And ::sigh:: Vane and Eleanor. I . . . just . . . he's honest in his feelings for her. And does he know that she's just using him? Does she really return his feelings or is she just using him (and his lovely dick and ass) to get the end she desires. She lusts after Flint, I know this. ::nods wisely::

And Flint. After this latest betrayal, with whom will he find solace? His Spanish warship? Maybe even ::whispers:: Billy?

I want to write in the show soooo bad because, PIRATES! But I can't parse the peoples IYKWIMAIKYD. I've gotta make some icons for this show because, well just because.

It's such a plot twist, because it really sheds so much of a fresh light on what motivates Flint, and the real history of his relationship with Mrs Barlow. Plus, canon bisexuality, yay!

I considered watching this (always up for Pirate stuff!) but everyone says there's so much rape in it. Your thoughts? Rape is so off putting to me that it's hard to watch it. But, I do love Toby Stephens!

I'm trying to think - I don't think there is that much, to be honest. I think there's only one scene, with Max, in the first season where you see any rape. Other than that I really can't think of any. That scene is awful, but it's the only one I can think of.
