♥ Day Three: A female character you hated but grew to love
Donna Noble. I know, right? How could anyone hate Donna?
I never really liked Catherine Tate as a comedienne - her sketches just hit my second-hand embarrassment squick too much. And I wasn't at all impressed with the Christmas special in which they introduced her character - they just made her too gobby and annoying for my tastes, and I guess I was still sore from losing Rose as a companion at the end of the previous season.
But by the end of Donna's run I just loved her, and like pretty much everyone else watching the show her ending broke my heart. It was worse than death, I would have preferred her character die over what happened to her. And I was so gutted to lose her as a companion, I loved her so much, and of all the companions she had so much personal growth and to see her lose all of that...
