I totally get this-next weekend I have to leave my dog with a dog boarder (who is AMAZING and only takes him and her daughter loves my dog and he gets the run of the house) for a whole week, and this is the longest I have ever had to leave him, and I am a wreck just thinking about it :(

It was scary for us to begin with leaving behind our dog when we went on holiday; we did use kennels for the first time but after that one of our neighbours would look after her for us and they eventually became family to her and allowed us to be more relaxed when we were off in another country. She was terrible in the kennels but then she was a rescue dog so we guessed she thought she was being given up again, poor thing.
