Kindle woes...

If there's one thing that frustrates me about reading books on my Kindle, it's footnotes.

Academic footnotes are one thing, but when you're reading books like Terry Pratchett's Discworld series or Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, where the footnotes are an integral part of the text and appear on almost every page, it's incredibly frustrating to ( Read more... )

That's just bad formatting, though. There's no reason you can't format a kindle book to be a like a written page and it's not really all that hard, just that legacy publishers are lazy about ebooks.

I will shut up before I get started on how awful big publishing is ;)

That's true, and I wish in this case they'd sort it. It is very annoying to have to be scrolling down to footnotes numbers and clicking forward and backward all the time.
