I used to both about, you know, fandom...

I used to post all the time about my shows. I'd have weekly reaction post and in-between I'd be talking about what was happening, the characters, spoilers, fanfic. But lately it just seems like nothing is really inspiring me. I think I'm watching more shows than ever, but I've fallen out of love with the ones I was really fannish for, and the ( Read more... )

NCIS picked itself back up after season 7-8 plot arcs. Well, it feels more like 'old NCIS' that's all I know.

Hey, how far off the deep end has The Mentalist gone? It's amazing, really. I still watch every week, though.

And fear not! Only two more weeks before the new F1 season starts up all over again! Will you be watching on Sky?

I will be watching! I can't wait for the new season to start. I just hope it's not another year of watching Sebastian Vettel disappear off in the distance...

My hopes aren't high of that not happening, frankly. McLaren seem strong but Ferrari seem in total meltdown mode with their new car being the laughing stock of winter testing, bizarre media handling and whatever the hell is going on in Alonso's odd personal life.

In years past, I wouldn't have given a rat's ass about Ferrari's woes but damn it, now I want them strong enough to be stealing enough points off Red Bull for Lewis to sneak past them to win the Championship! Or Alonso. Either really. Hell, just not Vettel. Please.

What you said :(

Where's the love you guys? Can we have it back? Am so bored over here.

(and with the exception of a couple of shows we watch the same things!! And yeah also the same about SPN and NCIS *sigh*)

Wow! I never realised we watch almost entirely different shows! While I do follow several TV loves (I think I must like soap operas about woobie monsters) I still only have one real fannish obsession. Some day it will be replaced by another, which will eat my brain like a zombie for years. But for now I am content as a fat cat in a sunbeam. ♥

But at least we agree on the important show. ;) I still keep trying to write, but I am so blocked. I think maybe over the summer, when everything is on hiatus, I'll watch M7 again and try and kickstart the fannish craziness again. Because I miss it. And you!

I miss you, too. {crushysqueeze} I was thinking about this earlier and realised I'm fortunate to have a partner in fannish crime who I hear from daily and several times a week we chat over fannish things. I've never realised how much that probably keeps my batteries charged, so to speak. Particularly for Mag7. And god knows you just being you kept me from running away from fandom at least once. If I never said thank you for that, THANK YOU. *smooch*

Now if there's something I can do to return the favour, you let me know. You know I can prattle with the best of them. ;)

You can prattle away, my love! I may have stopped writing C/V but I'll never stop loving them. I'm trying so hard to get back into it, because I loved writing, I loved feeling that the words were flowing, and having Chris and Vin sitting in my brain being tender with each other.

You know, I even dreamed about Chris last night. Sadly, not a nudgenudgewinkwink dream, alas. For some reason he was riding a giraffe. My brain is clearly weird.

:(((( this has been happening to me too! There are so many things I should be excited about right now, like Sherlock and Avengers and all sorts of things, but nothing really seems to be hooking me in the same way that Inception did. I don't know why! I hope you find something that piques your interest soon!

Although I have noticed that most of the time when I can't generate interest, it's because a lot is happening in RL and I just have too much on my mind outside of fandom. Perhaps that's happening in your case too?

Yeah, RL has been majorly eventful lately - I got a new job, I moved, I'm selling my flat and buying a house, one of my cats died... I guess that could explain it!

I miss all the fandom craziness though. That feeling when you fall head first into a new fandom and you just can't get enough of it, I love that.
