Our boys do need a happy reunion and Peter always does find Neal, when Neal wants to be found.

In case you haven't seen it, kanarek13 did artwork for this - it's beautiful and sad and perfect.

This so perfectly sums up my imaginings of how Neal would be spending at least the first part of that year apart. Poor guy -- while everyone at home mourned his passing, to him, it was as though everyone he loved "died" at once. He had to have been just as miserable as he made everyone else, even if the manner was somewhat different for each of them.

Great job on this!

Thank you, Neal did lose his entire 'family' all at once - he cut himself off from everyone he cared for. It would have made his early days in Paris difficult to enjoy.
