Hmmm, fear of bugs...

To be honest I would probably lay a good old fashioned guilt trip on him.

ie: "But son, if we kill Mr Fly then all his family will starve! Poor Mr fly he's only hungry *wibble*"

...What? I never said I'd be a good mum...

Ok, so if toying with your child's emotions is not your thing then maybe you could de-fear him with knowledge?
Bugs are amazing.
You should check out David Attenborough's 'Life in the Undergrowth' It's a series he did on Bugs! And like everything else SirDavid has done, its BEAUTIFUL and SUPER-INTERESTING! I watched the episode on spiders the other day, and while I am still terrified of them, I also now have a new appreciation for how totally awesome they are at being creepy as hell.

Seriously though, I grew up watching David Attenborough, infact he is a hero of mine. You can probably find it to watch online.
I found this link but I don't know if it'll be any good, maybe have a look around. Knowledge is power after all! <3

Haha - slinks you always make me laugh. I love that ^_^

Thanks for the link, I will check it out. Hopefully he will get over this fear soon. I always thought boys were supposed to play with bugs not run from them (hell I played with bugs when I was little). *shrugs*
