Most of my stuff IS copyrighted. Yes, I din't put my name on each piece, it's copyrighted nonetheless thanks to DevianART where you can see the copyright sign and year under each piece.

random stuff, read and share

Interestingly, I was talking to my sister about this today. Now, she's a lawyer (and a really good one at that - she works for the government) and she's pretty sure you don't actually have to copyright stuff so as not to have it stolen. She said it's plagiarism regardless...

The thing is though that every pic you upload on FB becomes FB's property so there are many loops.

It also depends from each site it is uploaded to/downloaded from, from the country and so on...AKA it's too easy to do it and play innocent since there won't be reprecutions.

Really? Wow, totally considering cancelling my FB account right now. That's disgraceful. :-/

Although, regardless of the law, people should just freaking know better. You know what we should do...we should open a rival SPN page and call it 'To hell and Beyond' or some shit like that and repost every post they post. See how they like it..

It is, that's why I don't upload any art or any important pics (like pics of friends or family) on there.

Yeah, it's one of the first things I told them several times - here in the second comment (my comments where since deleted from the page):

I think the biggest thing that bothers me is when groups at FB or people on Tumblr post someone's art and they don't credit them; even worse is when all they say is "credit unknown." They can't seem to get it through their thick skulls that if you don't know who to credit, then it shouldn't be shared at all. Uncredited art just gets passed around, and the artist gets lost in the shuffle.

I'm thinking about deleting all my photos at FB. My artwork especially.

Actually that's what I did years ago.

When you upload a pic (any pic) on FB it becomes FB's property and they can use it any way they want, even sell it or make ads out of it without your knowledge or consent.

Even after deleting them they will stay up on the FB servers for 30 days.
