In 2012, I ran my first 10k race. I’d planned to do a triathlon again, but changed my mind in mid-year when I decided it was taking too much time and effort just to schedule the workouts. I also missed the 5k I’d wanted to run in the fall because it was the weekend of World Fantasy. And I never got out of last place in the tennis league.

I'm rather fond of curries with chickpeas as the main component, and I use beans a lot in soup recipes.

I made chickpea curry on Saturday, in fact.

Bean soup is sort of my default for beans, and I'm hoping to expand that. I might make enfrijoladas this weekend instead of black bean soup.

technically, chili is meat and peppers without beans.

however, I don't see why you can't do beans and peppers - you just can't call it "con carne"

That's so cool that you have so many activities. I can't offhand think of many bean dishes. I do like lentils, though. Mmm, lentil soup.

Ha, I have *too many* activities. I would be so much better if at various sports if I did fewer of them more often.

Yeah, but apparently you're enjoying them all, so I say why not. For me, I'd think that I would just naturally start focusing more on one or two of them because I'm enjoying them more. If you're not that troubled about being "so much better," why worry about it. Life's too short. :)
