Wow. That sounds like the most sucktastic sermon in the history of Feast of the Holy Family sermons. I mean, in our church our priest spent a lot of time talking about how a marriage between man and wife is like a marriage between Jesus and the church, and made some excellent points. On another note he even directly told the kids that mommy and daddy need some time to themselves and need to prioritize their relationships to be good parents so the kids shouldn't interrupt or get in the way of mommy-daddy time. Bethany turned to me and said, "Wow. Even GOD wants you to have date night."

My mom's priest talked all about mending fences. The sermons couldn't have been more different, but they both spoke to our hearts. Your sermon sounded like it was just a waste of words. Bummer.

Let me guess, you were at St Frances. My whole family can't stand that deacon either which really sucks considering how close I was to 2 of his daughters in HS. I mean I used to hang out at his house!
