TOTALLY GOT AN A+ IN THEORETICAL PHYSICS.

That course was hardcore, man, and I went into it with really crappy math skills - and the course is essentially mathematical tools for physicists, fourier and complex and differential analysis

Former major, as in you switched, or you graduated and work elsewhere?

I went to college twice, first time I was a combined Physics/Engineering major (worked for a company that made high tech measuring devices for the govt. and then for a civil engineering firm) and then I went back and got a computer science degree. The computer science degree got me into the company I work for now but it was actually my self training in design and special effects production that got me the position I have now. I still think the degrees are totally worth it though. Got me in the door.

I adored physics though and still do. It is such an elegant science.

LOL! Awe is most appreciated too. :) No joke, we loved that class and put so many hours into it, often to the expense of other classes. No idea how Intro Quantum Mechanics and Solid State Physics went, though I know I passed both okay. Thermo today is funny - the teacher was useless, so we taught ourselves everything, but it's also kind of easy. A lot of differential maniupation, some conceptual understanding of entropy, and bam! That's classical thermodynamics. (Next semester's stat thermo, much more fun sounding.)
