I am thinking about buying this bike. I saw one like it randomly on the street and immediately pointed to it and said, "Why don't I have one of those?". It looks like a reasonably good deal and the guy is based here, so I bet I could even go pick it up and everything ( Read more... )

I have to admit, I had some difficulty answering this poll. Please, please, please wear a helmet! Even if you're just "cruising around" and even if you're not going fast or doing anything crazy. You're precious; you're important. :]

I would of course wear a helmet! I am one of the most cautious people I know.

Thank you for answering, even though it was difficult. I love you, Miz Elsha!

i say no for three reasons.

1. i only ever see redneck assholes and little boys who look like they will grow up to be redneck assholes riding those bikes.
2. its pretty ugly and im sure you can find a wayyyy cuter bike with a sweet manana seat for less than $200 plus shipping.
3. Wouldnt you rather buy $200 worth of lip gloss and coffee?

those are my reasons. take em or leave em.

1. Rednecks - but that's why it would be FUNNY to see me riding one. I am saying DAMN THE MAN. And the redneck.

2. I don't know how much bikes are.

3. Yes. But I'm still thinking.

1a. It would be hella amusing to see you on it.

2a. I am lusting after a recumbent bike that my friend will sell me for half what she paid for it: the low, low, low price of $600. (You can get a bike for anywhere from $100 to several thousand. $200's a pretty decent starter bike, good for cruising around.)

3a. You could find a used bike that's still hella awesome for half that and then have a bike AND lip gloss and coffee. :P

I can see you with either a matching or complementary brain bucket on George. (Am glad you'll wear a brain bucket. I watched a friend recover from his bike/auto-related head injury and it was unfun.)
