Oh, he made my blood just burn

I did not just download Loverboy's "Working for the Weekend" as my new ringtone. I did not, I did not, I did not. Okay, I totally did and it makes me giggle every time I hear it. It's unfortunate that they didn't have any Whitesnake available ( Read more... )

OMG, it totally does! No, no, no! A Magic Bullet is a slicer/dicer/chopper sort of thing that comes with all these cute little attachments. It's supposed to be for making dips and salsa and things like that. I figured I could use it with all my vegan cooking attempts.

OMG! My face is red!

No, no, it's not you! I just didn't realize how it must sound to someone that's maybe not completely obsessed with infomercials. I mean... Magic Bullet. OF COURSE it sounds like a sex toy! They really ought to change the name to like... Miracle Chopper or something. Sheesh.

I thought it was a sex toy too. Until the part about your parents and the ginger.

Best hair-band ringtone ever = Europe's The Final Countdown

I tried to get that one, too, but it was all muzak-sounding and it wasn't from the beginning. And the beginning synth is the best part!

Ok. So. A few things.

First of all, where do you get these ring tones and are they free? I <3 free. Like, seriously.

I'm thinking about going to the city this weekend. Any chance you wanna meet up? We can like, shop, and look at make up and shoes and OMG I/we HAVE to go to Houston's because they have the BESTEST VEGGIE BUGGER EVAR!! So. You should come. And spend money that you (we) shouldn't be spending. Because, I mean, who really wants to pay bills and dole out Commercialized Holiday Season presents?

I do! I do, I do, I do! But I have to work from 2 to 9:30 on Saturday, and I'm hanging out with my friend Matt all day Sunday, AND THEN meeting an LJ-friend for the first time (ironically) on Sunday night. So I don't think it's going to work.

This may be a dumb question, but by The City, you mean NYC, right? Because I really do plan to visit there again at some point in life, and when I do, I swear that we'll meet up and do a lot of needless shopping! No, really!

PSHBT! You and your... plans... Rawr. I might not be able to make it out there this weekend, either. My car might need a new radiator.

Yes, I mean NYC. Sorry, everybody in CT just calls it The City, so I guess I got used to it.

Oh, yeah, about the ring tones - I just download them from my cell phone provider, and they're like $1. Free would be better, but I don't know how to get free ones.

Put me down for the sex toy thing. And only because we have a couple, but I can't remember what they're called. I also was corrected when I read about your parents and the ginger hahahahahahha.

OMG! See, this just cements my belief that I have the least dirty mind on the planet. When I was typing it, it made perfect sense to me, and I saw nothing raunchy there whatsoever. But everyone disagrees and now I'm embarassed because I didn't EVEN SEE IT!

[facepalm]

It's really okay because once you mentioned the As Seen On TV store I was like "ooookay, I've never seen THAT before" and just put it down to some crazy thing from Zyliss hahahahha

I think i better put my two cents in about actually knowing WTF the Magic Bullet was, even before I read the part about the As Seen On TV store (although that certainly clinched it.)

We've actually thought about getting one. Are they as useful (and cool) as they say they are?

My stepdad thinks it's a gift from the gods. I think that means he likes it. I'm going to try it out myself this weekend and let you know!
