Wow, it took me only, what, over a week to get around to this? On the one hand, I think I actually might've needed this much time in order to get some proper healing for my ravaged emotions.

On the other...I think I put this off for so long, because this means having to acknowledge, you know, that it really ended. That it's over.

*sniffle*

I can't really add anything to your thoughts. I mostly agree except I haaated the Alpha thing almost as much as I hated "Neuropolis". (I WONDER IF THEY MINE UNOBTAINIUM THERE.) Otherwise, awesome and beautifully hopeful finale.

That's the most fuck-fantastic bizarro kind of awful ending for a couple I have ever heard, and it kind of makes me glitter-hearts all over them a little. IT DOES. I mean, when she was walking off to lie down in the pod with that dazed, smiley "I am so having mind-sex right now" look on her face? Come on. That is perfect.
Ahahahaha. See, I know, everybody thought it was creepy, but I actually think that would be an AMAZING ENDING for any couple other than Paul/Echo. I just hate them as a couple. But except for that, what a brilliant thing to do.

(I love the name "Actuals" for the fandom, hee.)

Supposedly there was at least a scene (scenes? unclear for now) with him in it in the script which had to get lost for time. Which is possibly why he was initially listed in the press release as being in this episode. No word on whether the cutting happened before or after it was actually filmed - obviously you can tell which way I'm hoping. (Though, honestly, I'd be thrilled for an extended cut of "The Return" for a million reasons regardless ( ... )

Hee, you're not remembering wrong, I didn't *hate* Dominic or anything but I just barely noticed him at all until "A Spy in the House of Love" and then I tended to overlook him because he was gone. However, between the osmosis of having you on my flist (as well as other Dewitt/Dominic fans) and the sheer awesomeness of "The Attic", I BECAME A BELIEVER. I guess I just wasn't very vocal about it to you. :D

But of course YOU and ME wouldn't think a couple where one of them is sort of a figment of the other's imagination is creepy!
Ha! Totally, I implied as much to somebody on my journal. There is NOTHING INHERENTLY WRONG WITH THAT AT ALL. It's quite romantic, tyvm.

Speaking of which... aaaah, I am totally creatively blank on what to ask you to write me for help_haiti. Would it be enough to just say I want Gaius and Caprica and Felix in it? And it could be a distorted fairy tale or just a way for them all end up together in some kind of crazy polygamy. I don't know ( ... )

FWW, if you rewatch the earlier episodes of S1 he's a lot more awesome once you know to look out for him. Not that I'm at all biased or anything. (But, ha, why am I not surprised it was "The Attic" that brought you onboard? That episode is such a showcase for the snarky badass action hero that is Dominic, truth.)

And, girl, no rush on the choosing what you want me to write for you, seriously. I'd rather be confident in knowing it's a request you really want fulfilled rather than getting it done in a certain timeframe.

BWAHAHA, hello, my perfect sentence! ♥ Those are my feelings EXACTLY. It's like, not only did this finale get me to like both of them and care about their relationship (what??), but ... there was that ending. It was this perfect combination of sweet and gross and sad and totally disturbing yet ... romantic in its awfulness?, and I just think they got that exactly right ( ... )

My new irrational profound fear has become anyone asking any of the writers or actors or Joss about what happened to Dominic, because I get the sense that they'd say, "Oh, yeah, he died, we just didn't have time to get around to it," and then all my dreams would be DASHED....Okay, internet, this is important: nobody ask Joss Whedon ANYTHING from now on.
