I didn't hear anything about that, but I went to high school with a girl who was really nice and modest and an attractive person. She worked at Hollister for 3 days until she realized that the only reason she was hired was because she was pretty and then she promptly quit.
It's a sad commentary on our society that looks are held in higher regard than work ethic. sigh On that note, I was once told by a mother of the bride, at the end of a wedding reception, that I was selected to cater her daughters wedding because I "fit with the overall aesthetic of the ceremony." I questioned what she meant and she said simply, "You're fit and not hideous to look at." I was utterly astounded. Who really cares what the chef looks like! And hell, we even joke that you should never trust a skinny chef. (I'm not skinny, just athletic, lol, so I guess I'm okay) Getting your degree in a field you love is so worth any aggrevation though! Hang tough with the horrors of retail! And FYI, Lowe's is a good place to work your way through school. Good pay and you can get some benefits, even if you're only part time

Hang in there, sweetie. It's hard for liberal arts/soft sciences majors to find work initially, but we're more useful in the long run.
