So. In case you missed the earlier memo, I graduated today from (the) Ohio State University, Class of 2009, Bachelor of Arts.

Me and my class of 8,000 some-odd.

Needless to say, long Commencement was long. It was held in the OSU stadium (because where else you gonna put 8,000 grads and their families?), it was hot and we had to sit through ( Read more... )

Congratulations! I don't normally read your journal, but I found you via the old friends of friends route, and I know how tough it can be to slog through all that higher learning stuff.

What's your degree?

ooh, cool field. I don't know if you are even applying to grad school, but if you wind up checking out UMass (which I understand has a good physical anthropology dept), you should drop millari and me a line. We live close by.

Dude, John Glenn is so much better than who ever the hell was ours. I don't remember as I was trying to ignore the girl who barfed four rows back. But I will not be jealous of the 8000 people you graduated with, Fall graduation was too long as it was.

Good for you! Both for graduating and for managing to sit through the ceremony. It doesn't matter what your GPA is if you feel like your time there was worth while.
