Oh my god. My god, I love this SO MUCH, I can't even tell you. OH. WOW. You made me cry!

I usually have trouble with fics where Sawyer dies or is dead, but here I could handle it. He's so much him, it broke my heart - his embarrassment at being an angel, at having wings, it's perfectly Sawyer. God, I love the idea of him as Sayid's guardian angel - it breaks me, but I love it.

Wonderful portrayal of Sayid. His calmness in the face of Sawyer's sudden appearance, his refusal to admit that he is doing anything wrong, that he is in need of help - all perfectly IC.

What killed me though is Sayid's reaction when Sawyer shows his wings and he finally does believe him. You portrayed his need and gratitude so beautifully.

Sayid clenched his eyes shut tight, digging fingers into him a little harder.

“What do I do now?” he asked.

His voice was completely even. Only someone who knew him very well could possibly understand that it was a plea.

“Easy,” Sawyer soothed. “I’ll take care of you.” This? I have no words for how much I love it.

Thank you! I'm so out of practice with writing for Lost and it doesn't seem like I ever write that much Sayid so I was really sort of concerned with getting them right here. I'm very glad that you've apparantly confirmed that all the effort paid off.
I'm also glad that you liked the scenario I put them in and didn't think it was too cheesy or anything.

Oh, this is magical! I don't usually go for wingfic as it's just so out there (says she, who goes for all sorts of other stuff!), but this was beautiful! As Z says, Sawyer and Sayid are both so IC that somehow it works! And it's a gorgeous end too! ;-)

I'm a little in love with the "character A becomes guardian angel for character B" concept, I'm not gonna lie. But I can understand how wingfic might be a little...out there, for some. Oh WOW, that's so moving and gorgeous and yet Sawyer is still so very Sawyer here, despite being an angel. Damn, but I loved this, as of course, must Z. as you've hit every one of her favorite non-porny fic fetishes!
