Eeeeeee update!!!

So, I was alternately squeeing in delight and biting my lip anxiously while reading this chapter. I love all the sweet moments between Chris and Zach, like Zach crawling into the hospital bed with his boyfriend, or both of them going to dinner with Chris' parents and Zach actually enjoying himself and the scene at the party. For a while there though, I was starting to get a little worried that Chris was pushing too hard, but I'm glad Zach seems to get why Chris is pushing him now. He DOES need to be pushed. I just hope Zach won't ruin things for himself by spending too much time worrying because he thinks Chris will give up on him and leave. Gosh, he is getting so close to actually saying those three words out loud!

I re-wrote parts of this chapter because I was worried myself that Chris was coming off unbearably pushy and so tried to dial it back to just pushy, haha. But I always thought to myself that part of their dynamic is that Chris has to push and Zach has to give in some times.

For srs bsns, though, one of my all time favourite things about your writing is your flawed and perfectly imperfect characterisation. Like, in every single thing that you do the characters are always TOTALLY believable, and you find yourself relating to them even better because they share some of your own flaws. Sometimes I finish your stuff and Im just BLOWN AWAY because I'm left imagining that the characters you've created are totally real. Zach messing up and feeling bad, but still wanting his distance - and Chris who won't stop trying even if it's hurting him on some level. And how helplessly in love they are with each other despite everything, augh. Perfectly imperfect.

I'm SO touched that you think so much of my writing considering my general attitude towards it is 'meh.' I actually have to talk myself into posting every single time, which sounds stupid, but seriously, I do. I generally write for myself but it's a big massive cherry on top of the cake when people actually enjoy the crap I write, haha.

P.S I was out all of yesterday and when I got home I found three virus/worms on my laptop which kept fucking it up and not letting me do anthing. I almost started crying because I was like 'I wanted to read Keep Calm, why are you doing this? WHHHHY?!' My life, I cannot even.

I'm pretty sure I was in a bad mood that day, hence the lack of caps and the SRS BSNS MESSAGE. But STILL, every author needs to get serious reviews on their work from time to time as well - in my opinion, at least! You get something out of that kind of comment that flailing doesn't usually sink in.

I think you're exactly the same as me! I have literally sent entire stories to my beta for her to edit and then the next day gone - wait, never mind. Don't even bother ending it. I hate it, it's shit. I'm never going to publish it.

That would actually apply to SEVERAL of my posted stories, because she always manages to convince me otherwise in the end. But YEAH, I think about my stories in the EXACT same way you do! In fact, I may have described my opinion identically to you hahaha. I write for myself and if someone happens to enjoy it too, that just never ceases to surprise and delight me!

AND FUCK NO COMP WORMS D: Those are HELL. I hope everything is okay nooowwww YOU CANNOT BE TORN AWAY FROM THE INTERWEBS I WOULD START A RIOT.
