Hey, when you're The System, you have a vested interest in working the gate and making sure you stay working at the gate.
It's just what it is.
Then again, some people live in their own little fantasy world, and the only victory you can pull off there is realizing that the only thing that'll illuminate them is a flamethrower.
Moral victory comes with USING said flamethrower, and teaching them the burny dance while screaming 'DO THE BURNY DANCE!'
