[Well, it's been quite some time since Kanata has been in Mayfield, although he didn't know what sort of event that he and Pamela did together, he had regained the defining features of what makes Kanata the Demon Dog King: his ears and tail

[...Hey, who's that guy? And hey, he's got ears and a tail!]

Ah, you're new here, right? I haven't seen you around before.

[Ears are going to perk up in interest!]

Kinda, actually! I'm still learning new things as I go, but I'd say I've been around for a week or so. This place is pretty strange so I finally figured I should explore around and learn more about this place. What about you?

[perfectvoice]

Ah, I've been here since...December, I think? I know the basics.

[demondogdays]

Really? What kind of basics? I didn't know there was a tutorial to go through here. Oh right, I'm Kanata! Nice to meet you!

[ghastlyinnghost]

[Jogging over to him on her way home from school!]

[Waving his hand over to her and waits for her!]

Pamela~! Hey! Hey! Notice something different? [Ears are flick around a bit.]

Your ears! [Reaaaaching for them once she gets close] You got them back, did you? Oh my, I'm so glad~

[Going to let her touch them and wag his tail excitedly] Yeah! I don't know how it happened, but it happened after we had that one flashback together about why Tsubaki was mad for not letting her join us in sleeping in the same bed. Weird, huh?

[hontobakabaka]

[Ruri peers at the doggie person while walking by, marking the street and her book]

"Hrm.... Dog."

[demondogdays]

[One ear will perk up after hearing that.]

Ha? Yes? What is it?

[hontobakabaka]

"Nothing. I just haven't seen anyone with dog ears yet."

[demondogdays]

[He's going to wag his tail a bit from that.]

Oh, really? You can take a closer look at them if you want. I don't mind.

[animalhusbandry]

This town's sidequests are much easier than what I'm used to as well. I didn't even have to fight that fishman to get my magic back, let alone defeat him!

[demondogdays]

Fishman?! You mean there are monsters here and I missed them! Hey, could you tell me where they are? I need to get my levels back as soon as possible! It feels pretty weird to start at from square one again after all of those adventures I've went on with my party.

[animalhusbandry]

There are strange bovine-machine hybrids wandering the park, but for some reason they don't seem to be respawning.

[demondogdays]

Really! But if there are monsters there, then clearly there will be more coming back soon! Do you think you can take me where you found them?

[furikazan]

[Bang makes a double-take at the dog-person. He's only seen cats and squirrels so that's kinda new to him.]

Don't take the wrong path though... it might lead to a bad ending!

[demondogdays]

Of course! Every good adventurer knows that you should explore at every corner so that you won't miss anything important that could help you later down the road! Defeat monsters, find treasure, gain knowledge... just like in the stories, it also applies to real life!

[furikazan]

[Bang nods, pleased at this person's view on life]

That is a great way of looking at things! Ah if the world were as easy as a video game....

[demondogdays]

[And Kanata is getting more pumped up at the thought of going on another adventure in Mayfield. Since this town is definitely nothing like Empyria.]

Even if it wasn't so easy, it's just another thing that makes things all more interesting to over come!
