i had fun making him a drunken turd :) I figure it was a part of his life we don't really see in the movie, and he's waaaaaay to perfect in the book... I like to make the boys jerks sometimes.

Yay! That was one of my favorite parts of the whole fic. It seemed like the sort of thing Esca would totally do when he didn't have any friends and had ditched his inhibitions in mead :)

This was wonderful - I love how flawed both Marcus and Esca are!

I found Marcus totally cringeworthy when drunk - so I totally empathised with Esca, who himself was being a bit of a git. So perfect, really.
