This is such a lovely, heart-warming story. I love how much they care for and love each other and the ceremony was just wonderful. You write with such a light touch - it's a real delight to read. ♥

thank you! I had a blast writing it, a fascinating time researching pagan weddings to try and get the details right, the OP loved it... pressies all around!

Cannot fathom the lack of reviews on this gem of a fic! Maybe it's due to the small fandom, but--anyway, it's just lovely and romantic and if not actually historically accurate (I have no idea!) it certainly felt authentic to the times. The first section with Esca awake was particularly genuine and moving. Thank you for posting!!

I was going to reply to your message about a hundred and fifty years ago, and then school happened, and then more school happened, and now the month ends in 2 hours. WHOOPS.

thank you so much for reading and enjoying, and double thanks for commenting! Comments make my world go round. It got a few reads on the kinkmeme, and then ... I don't know. Stuff? Other fic? Fic with strippers in it? (everybody loves strippers!) Oh well, such is the internet.

As for the historical accuracy, excellent question! Neopaganism does try to draw on ancient roots, and I suspect the concept of handfasting goes waaaaaaay back. The Roman wedding stuff was all stolen from their actual ceremonies, because I occasionally feel the need to justify my history degree :D
