There should be a bus that stops right in front of the complex from Grant Park. Considerably cheaper than a cab, I would think.

The Rift tends to grab people from different worlds or time-periods and drops them here, in this world. The people it uproots are called Wanderers. As for me, I'm from 175 years in the future. Which is annoying, really, the technology here is horribly backwards compared to that in my own time.
