[Real Life; Iselia]

Lloyd stretched his arms out as he stepped through the gates of Iselia. It really had been too long, he realized, since he could just come home and be with his friends. He had especially missed Colette - speaking of which, he had something important to tell her, didn't he? About the reason he always wanted to look out for her, and ( Read more... )

Luckily for Lloyd, the first thing Colette had done was make lunch, even going so far as to enlist the help of her grandmother. She felt a little guilty for it but the elderly woman had insisted, and well... Colette didn't want to mess anything up, either. It had been a while since she'd seen Lloyd, busy as he was, so the least she could do was much sure he ate well.

But it was finally finished! She grinned at the impressive variety on the table. She was confident he'd love it all. Now all that was left was to wait.

He passed through the town, making sure to wave or say "Hi" to the townspeople that were out and about. He was still surprised at how friendly everyone was towards him ever since the worlds were reunited. Well, perhaps it was only expected after everything that happened.

Suddenly, he sniffed the air. Something smelled really good, and it was coming from the direction of Colette's house. Salivating slightly, Lloyd quickened his pace.

When he stepped up to the door to knock, his stomach began growling again, yearning for whatever was making that delicious smell. He knocked.

Well, she certainly didn't have to wait long. Colette hurried to the door as soon as she heard a knock, opening it quickly with a large smile on her face.

"Lloyd!" It almost seemed too good to be true, but before she could stop herself she was hugging him, all the feelings she had swelling and for the first time in a while, she felt truly happy. It was good to see her friend again.

Of course, her happiness took a backseat when she heard - well... rather felt - a grumble of impatience. "Oh, I'm sorry! You must be starving!" Really, he had walked here and the first thing she did was keep him in the doorway. Stupid Colette.

Without another word she yanked him inside and led him to the table by the hand. "I made a lot of your favorite things, so I hope you like it all!"

Lloyd let out a small yelp as he was dragged into the house. "G-geez, Colette! What are you so -"

Then he saw the table.

Food. Lots and lots of delicious food.

He felt a trickle of saliva dribble onto his chin as he beheld the sight of the feast before him. It was as if he had died and gone to heaven.

"...Wow..."
