The city hadn't changed much, thought Lloyd as he passed through the Tethe'allan capital of Meltokio. Along the way to his friend Zelos' mansion, the boy had made a few stops for holiday gifts. As such, he struggled to carry one large bag and two smaller bags through the city streets. Thankfully his companion Noishe could carry the personal ( Read more... )

Colette wasn't that far behind Lloyd, actually. After resting for an hour or so, the Chosen had managed to fly all the way to Melokio with a few bags in her hands. Their weight had done little to deter her with the power of angel strength on her side, but even now long flights tired her out. It was by some miracle she'd managed to fly the distance without collapsing.

What a relief it was when her feet finally hit the ground! Mindful that most citizens weren't used to seeing someone with wings, she landed outside the city gates and rushed to knock on the Wilder mansion's door.

The answer she expected didn't come at first, and curiosity getting the best of her, Colette tentatively opened the door. "Um, hello?" Was anyone even inside? Perhaps she'd managed to beat Lloyd here and Sebastian was just out for the moment.

Lloyd had just gotten comfy on Zelos' couch, when a small voice made him jump. He frantically looked around before seeing Colette behind the door.

"Colette!" he said. "You scared me!" He ran a hand through his wild hair and continued. "You sure got here quickly, heheh..."

At hearing Lloyd's voice, the girl immediately brightened and entered the rest of the way. "Lloyd! So you did get here alright." What a relief; not that she'd been worried, but it was still good to see him safe. "And sorry about that!" She hadn't meant to, honest.

"Look! I brought the presents." Proudly presenting her bags, Colette went over and placed them right next to Lloyd.

Looks like you did, too!" Of course, he had worried about her a little bit, and he was relieved that she had made the trip without tiring herself out. It must have taken tons of energy to fly all that way, after all.

Lloyd grinned at the bags she had sat down. "I guess you got a bit more than just a plushie." He inspected one of them and playfully added, "I wonder which one has mine in it...!"
