*fans you* Thank you. I wanted to show a Sherlock without John and how, now that he's known him, he simply can't live without him.

This is amazing! Sherlock's beautiful even when he falls apart. I loved the supporting characters as well.

Simply brilliant!

He does crumble so exquisitely, doesn't he? And I'm glad you appreciate my ensemble - even in a "couple" fandom like this, I love to make use of the cast.

Thank you!

Oh wow, that's marvellous.
One thing, it's late and I'm not at my brightest, but what happened to John, I know it was hinted at, but it wasn't clear.

Thank you kindly.

Ah, yes - dear John. Mycroft asked for his help with a secret mission in Afghanistan. One snag: he had to play dead at home.

John, very reluctantly, agreed, probably thinking that Sherlock would work it out within two minutes. However, he didn't count on Sherlock's particular blind spots when it comes to him.

When he hears that Sherlock is self-destructing, he ups and quits on Mycroft and comes back to take care of his detective.

I hope that satisfies your curiosity!

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the characterisation - I'm always worried in a new fandom.
