Every time I see a new chapter, I get all giddy and apprehensive at the same time. Fealty is still one of my favourite Merlin/Arthur stories, but I think that its sequel is tied with it, at least, for the number one spot.
This chapter... I'm not angry with Uther anymore~ He's trying, and it really is a whole different perspective for him. I love Gwen speaking to him the way she does Arthur, too. And Merlin realising they should have been working together the whole time... First of all: FINALLY. But I hope it isn't too late for them to fix it.
AWW! You're making me blush! Fealty has a special place in my heart, I'll admit.
I'm glad I managed to turn you around on Uther. He's not a total arse all the time - and Gwen is awesome with royalty. And yes, Merlin is a little slow, isn't it?
You made me almot like Uther!!! Shame, shame, same! How did you do it? Kukuku. WoW I was nervous all the day, waiting for this chapter. We're near the end of our journey, even if I'd like to think otherwise. About your reply to my comment, I think Arthur could have an heir even without a wife. Something like "renting a womb", goddess what a crude picture said so. Marrying without love is horrible. Arthur will suffer, Merlin will suffer and the poor woman chosen will suffer. I'd prefer a agreement: bearing the prince's son will give to the lucky lady importance in the court even without the crown. I don't know if my idea can be possible, but I like to think that being true to you heart is the best way to live.
Hee! I don't know - I don't know how I did it for myself!
Wow, you were nervous? That's a massive compliment! And we are near the end, yes.
Well, they're magic dabblers, so I doubt it's impossible to create a child without a woman at all. However, I like the idea of an Arthur/Gwen sham marriage - I think that as long as they know personally who they're loyal to, the perception of the kingdom doesn't matter.
This sounds like Arthur is going to lose. He can hardly defend himself and Merlin is powerless at the moment. I hope the shadow is coming to rescue them.
