Wow, everything is coming to a head in this. I'm really looking forward to the last bit.

I love how you used Amie to not only advance the plot, but to show a particular aspect of Bruce's character - namely, the part where when he finds someone who needs help, he sets them in his mind as someone to save and he doesn't give up until they are either saved or dead.

Can't wait for the last chapter! I want to see Bruce and Dick reunited and, if not fixed, on the path to being fixed at least.

Thank you. I hope the build-up is worth it.

I'm glad that came across. Bruce's little obsession with saving people is something that I felt needed to be dealt with, especially in the context of his failure with Dick.

And no comment. ;)

I'm quite fond of a Bruce who's finally connected with people, people outside his crusade as Batman. I think it actually strengthens him as a character.

Bruce has definitely learned something about himself here. This is quite a change for me to write something that's character-driven rather than full of action/plot points.

Thank you for commenting.

Oh, three cheers for another update! \o/ \o/ \o/

Bruce, Bruce, Bruce. I love you for caring and for becoming obsessed with saving yet another person, but aren't you beginning to wonder at the similarity of the two searches in which you have involved yourself?

They had found nothing - a literal black hole where a person should be. She had no bank account, no bills, no cell phone, no contracts, no will and no known family. Bruce didn't know what to think.

Yep, yep, there it is.

Oh, man. Every time I see an update, I am torn between joy and excitement at a new part of the story and fear and regret that it means one step closer to the end. You know, I might someday have to take you up on your offer to let other people play in your 'verse. Who knows? Maybe I might get an idea for your birthday fic? (Although maybe I should wait until I know I won't be messing with your canon.)

Heh - thank you, thank you. *bows*

When Bruce is obsessed, he's obsessed. He focuses down to an astonishing degree - just look at Brother Eye: he was so obsessed with the need to watch everyone that he didn't think the stupid thing might turn against him.

You are most welcome to play in my 'verse, but I do ask that you wait until the last part of 'Road to Nowhere' is posted.

there may also be a couple of things I have to get out of my system before I let go, but we shall see
