The movies:
4. Beauty and the Beast
5. Serenity

(I love both of those. And 2 and 3 are very familiar to me - it's killing me.)

And your Tim letter made me cry. It seriously broke me.

About me: Long before the DVDs came out, I taped every single Buffy episode on VHS. :)

They're great films. I think you're more likely to get 3, because 2 is quite obscure. Feel free to try again!

It was a hard letter to write. I was torn between writing Tim or Kyle, but I thought Tim could say it all so much better.

Wow, that's dedication! I did something similar was Stargate - somewhere, I have Seasons 4, 5, 6 and 7 on tape.

3. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Something about me: I have the poem "The Highway" almost completely memorized, but have never managed to get a few of the verses down perfect. I plan to finally memorize them over Christmas.

Well done! I love the simplicity of that scene.

I don't know that poem. Is it very long? We once had to memorise 'Ozymandias' by Shelley, and I can only remember the first four lines or so:

I met a stranger from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert.
Near them, on the the sand,
Half-shrunk, a shattered visage lies...

And clearly, I don't know how the lines work *blush* I might try learning that one again.

Also, I know a bit of Jabberwocky - but doesn't everyone?

The Highwayman.

I have about half of Ozymandias memorized. I like that one. And I, like everyone, know the first few lines of Jabberwocky. I know a couple of short poems too. I went through a "memorize every cool or funny poem I find" phase in middle school, which coincided with me reading some fantasy novels with poems. "Oh Captain, my Captain" seems to have been pretty much erased from my brain, though.

Oh, I remember studying this poem. I always remember the line about the love knot in her hair. It's so tragic.

Good luck with the memorising!

Dear Santa,

Sorry about the handwriting, my fingers are a little broken right now. Run-in with the Joker, long story.

Look, let's get right down to business. I know I haven't been on your good list in a long time. Maybe not ever. But I've tried so hard lately. Really I have.

There's only one thing I want this Christmas, and I probably don't deserve it, but if you can find it in your heart to make a Christmas miracle happen, I'll work on being a better person.

All I want for Christmas is Ted back, safe and sound.

Please. He's my best friend, and I'm lost without him.

Yours,

Booster Gold
