Meh. I'm pretty indifferent. On one hand, I see why people are upset: it is easy to abuse, easy to get around, still pretty subjective, and does feel like we have to police other people's children. On the other hand, LJ is aware of potential abuses and is trying to block them, and it beats having more journals banned or friends-locked. So I'll wait and see. If it means more more NC-17 fics are flagged instead of friends-locked, I'm for it.
