Only just noticed this, oops.

fiyre came about when I first got into Paganism/Wicca as a religion. I was about 14, at the time, and therefore when I read that many Wiccans have a "craft name", I got totally carried away, and obviously had to come up with something cheesy enough to be in a fantasy novel.

I got over it, and I don't like it very much now. But I use it as an alias everywhere online, and can't be bothered with the hassle of changing several accounts.

So there you go :P

I know what you mean - I'm not thrilled about Demon Faith anymore, but I've used it for so many years that it would be weird to change it. The things we do when we're 13/14...

Kirke (Circe in English) is a name of a Sorceress from Odyssey, the daughter of Helios, the one that turned Odysseus men into pigs and then had her wicked way with him. I've always loved Greek mythology so when it came to taking an internet nick for myself, I simply had chosen her name, for Kirke is uber!cool.

Novak... heh... oh, that's embarrassing. In the good ol' days I was just Kirke, though on ADM (Savage Garden slash community) some people called me Ms Novak or Lee's Mum, because I had a rather rabid, fangirlish love for Lee Novak, SG bassist. When I wanted to establish a journal on LJ it turned out that 'Kirke' was already taken, so, without thinking, I simply put Novak next to Kirke. I wouldn't now. I still would totally marry Lee though!

Oh, Circe! Greek mythology is awesome - I did Classics at A-Level and I loved the Odyssey. The Iliad's a tough read though.
