Ireland v Bangladesh

Unlike some who were bitterly disappointed that this match wasn't India v Pakistan, I was actually looking forward to it. They're not strong batting sides, but they've both been outstanding in the field, so it looked good.

Personally, I think Ireland have had a fantastic tournament; for a bunch of semi-professionals whom nobody expected even to beat Zimbabwe and leave after three matches, I think they've come a long way. Beating Pakistan and Bangladesh means they are now a fully fledged ODI team, plus the experience they've had against playing the best cricketers in the world is something I envy greatly.

Seeing as I never expected England to progress much further than they have, I personally hope that New Zealand go all the way; it's believed that they've been preparing for this tournament for almost 3 years and they're happy with the team they have. They've played very well and I hope that - like Sri Lanka a little while back - they win the World Cup from a team of minnows a few years back to a team of champions.

Hehe - I thought it was you, dear.

I'm delighted with Ireland. They've been a joy to watch, just full of enthusiasm and passion for the game. I'll watch out for them in future (though hopefully they won't upset Sri Lanka by beating them today...)

England have been frankly shocking. I love New Zealand and I'd really like to see them make the final - so, I'd ideally like them to beat Australia tomorrow so that they can meet Sri Lanka in the final *nods*. Would be perfect.
